Uncertain future for Jack Wilshere

Published Add your comment

Former Arsenal midfielder Ray Parlour has suggested there is a good chance that Jack Wilshere could leave the Emirates this summer, despite Arsene Wenger insisting that the 23-year-old is not for sale. Speaking to talkSPORT's Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast Show, the Gunners fans favourite said the England international might consider a move should the club sign another player in his position. Wilshere has struggled to cement his place in Arsenal's starting XI over the past couple of seasons after failing to maintain fitness and form, and could be forced to quit north London to secure more regular action. The Daily Mail reported earlier this week that Manchester City are interested in acquiring Wilshere's signature, and Parlour believes he'd have a better chance of establishing himself in the first-team.
