Adrian Gonzalez has caught fire in the first three games of the MLB season and the Los Angeles Dodgers star has made history in the process.

History maker

The moment came on Wednesday night when he became the first player ever to hit five home runs in the first three games of the season. An incredible accomplishments for the hottest batter in the MLB.

The Dodgers star finished with 27 home runs last season, a very respectable number, but if he continues with the pace he's at Gonzalez will smash that number easily. He is in the zone and the Dodgers fans respect that.

The Dodgers defeated the San Diego Padres 7-4, thanks to three home runs by Gonzalez. Pitcher Brand McCarthy talked about how tuned in and dangerous Adrian Gonzalez has been:

"He's about as locked in as he can be, that's a nightmare for a pitcher to face. He's older and knows exactly his routine. There's so much discipline in his at-bats. It's very hard to fool him."

It is indeed. Gonzalez is 32 years of age and has a ton of experience with all different types of pitchers all around the league.

Dodgers manager Don Mattingly also spoke of the success of Gonzalez, saying:

"He wasn't bad today, huh? When you get hot you're just feeling good. You want to ride that streak as long as you can as far as hitting the ball hard."

High praise from a former hitting machine for the New York Yankees. It takes a slugger to know a slugger.

One man show

If there is one issue that Dodgers fans may be worried about with Gonzalez' home runs, it could be the fact that for all five of his HR's, he was the only one batted in, the bases were empty.

He has five home runs this season, and just seven RBI's. The Dodgers fans don't mind though, as long as he keeps hitting, the loaded bases will come.

When asked about his accomplishment, Adrian Gonzalez had this to say,

"Something like that is always cool to be able to accomplish."

Humble as always and Dodgers fans wouldn't have it any other way.
