Chelsea have declined to comment after their 20-year-old defender Wallace was arrested on suspicion of committing a sexual offence.
This is according to the Guardian, who understand Wallace was arrested in the early hours of Friday morning in Arnhem city centre before being questioned by local police investigating the allegations.
Wallace is one of three Chelsea players currently on loan at Vitesse, who sit fifth in the Eredivisie, and is scheduled to return to Stamford Bridge at the end of the season.

Police confirm arrest
“We still don’t know what exactly happened,” Paul Koetsier, a police spokesman, was quoted as telling NTL by the Guardian. “That must be found out during the investigation. We can’t make it more concrete than a suspicion of a sexual offence.”
Wallace has been omitted from Vitesse’s squad for this weekend’s league fixture against Excelsior while the investigation continues.

Wallace's career so far
A Brazil Under-20 international, Chelsea secured the signing of Wallace in 2013 following a string of impressive displays for Fluminense.
The right-back was immediately loaned out to Inter Milan, due to a lack of work permit, but he struggled at the San Siro and subsequently made just four appearances for the Italian giants.
Chelsea then decided it was in Wallace’s best interests to join another team on loan for the current campaign and organised a deal with their Dutch partner club, Vitesse.
Wallace has made 15 appearances for the Eredivisie outfit, scoring one goal in the process, but will not be staying with the club for a second season.
Wallace dreams of playing for Chelsea
The South American has his sights set on making his Chelsea debut, but this latest incident leaves question marks over his future.
Speaking to the Brazilian football website Sambafoot in February, Wallace confirmed that he wants to return to Stamford Bridge at the next available opportunity.
“My goal is to return to Chelsea as soon as possible,” he admitted. "I am happy in the Netherlands. At Inter I had less time to play.
"I play a lot here and I hope it continues like this until the end of the season.
"Nothing is decided yet. That will depend on my form to the end of season.
"My only goal is currently to finish well in the championship [Eredivisie]. We'll then see what their decision is."
Wallace might never play for Chelsea
Wallace is unlikely to make his senior Chelsea debut any time soon, with competition for first-team places fierce at Stamford Bridge.
It’s also been reported this week that Chelsea are considering a move for Southampton right-back Nathaniel Clyne - and if these reports prove to be true, there’s every chance Wallace may never make a first-team appearance for the Blues.
