Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings will welcome the Sunrisers Hyderabad to IPL 2015 when they battle it out at the Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai tomorrow.
The Super Kings already have two-points on the board, as they beat the Delhi Daredevils by 1-run on Thursday night. Chennai, the two-time IPL champions, put up a score of 150 to which the Daredevils failed to chase down.
New side, new threat
The Sunrisers Hyderabad will feel confident after coming away from the IPL auction arguably the happiest team. They have added a wealth of international talent in the form of England duo Ravi Bopara and Eion Morgan, Trent Boult, Praveen Kumar and Kane Williamson. This is in addition to stars such as Dale Steyn, Shikhar Dhawan, Ishant Sharma, skipper David Warner and many more.
David Warner’s side have to surely be considered a serious threat in this year’s competition after finishing in a modest sixth place in IPL 2014.
New Zealand international and World Cup hot shot, Brendon McCullum failed to show the form the displayed at the World Cup in the Super Kings first match up, however, it can only be a matter of time until he starts firing on all cylinders.
With the likes of Dale Steyn and Ishant Sharma taking on McCullum, Dhoni & Raina, and Ravichandran Ashwin alongside Ashish Nehra taking on Warner, Dhawan, Morgan and co, the match looks set to be an IPL classic.
Previous meeting between the two sides fall heavily in the favour of the two times champions, as they have won three of four match ups in previous tournaments.
The game will start at the earlier time of 11:30 GMT or 8:00 GMT and will be aired on Sky Sports 2 HD.
