Emmanuel Sanders was outstanding during the 2014 NFL season for the Denver Broncos, but that has stopped the AFC West side from deciding to change his position.
Sanders started at receiver for the Broncos, but unlike in previous years while at the Pittsburgh Steelers, in a three receiver set Sanders did not occupy the slot.
However, Sanders admitted to the media on Monday that in those game situations next season, the Broncos have decided they will employ the speedster in the slot while moving Cody Latimer into the position vacated by Sanders.
This doesn't mean that Sanders will not be a starter receiver for Denver in 2015, it just simply means the Broncos will be tweaking his position to get even more production out of the talented receiver.
And Sanders himself certainly feels the decision has merit. "I'm very comfortable in doing that because I played in the slot at Pittsburgh and a lot in college so I'm looking forward to that," Sanders told NFL.com.
Sanders likes the change
Cody Latimer, a second-year player out of Indiana, will line up on the outside across from Demaryius Thomas, and Sanders feels like the talented young gun will revel in that position.
"On my Twitter, I'm vocal about Cody because I believe in Cody. Cody is a special player. He has strong hands and is a physical tool," Sanders added.
"I think this is going to be the year that he jumps onto the scene. I think he's going to have a big year and I'm happy he's on my team and in our receiver group."
