The New Orleans Saints are one of many NFL franchises undergoing something of an offseason overhaul ahead of the 2015 NFL season.
There have been a number of high profile outgoings on the offensive side of the ball at the Louisiana franchise already - namely WR Kenny Stills and TE Jimmy Graham - as they bid to bounce back from a disappointing 2014 campaign.
Replacing star names
While the incomings have been modest to date, the Saints could at least be about to upgrade at the wide receiver position if reports today are to be believed.
Greg Jennings is on the hunt for a new team after leaving the Minnesota Vikings after two seasons. Now 31 the two-time Pro Bowler is on the downward side of his career but would no doubt add an experienced option for Drew Brees - a quarterback who is suddenly looking for new targets - to throw to.
Having left the Jacksonville Jaguars without a deal, Jennings may find a better landing spot in Nola where Brees and co are a far more attractive proposition than the developing Blake Bortles.
He has 63 touchdowns to his name in the NFL as well as three 1,000 yard seasons but Saints fans though will no doubt be hoping that the franchise front office will be looking to add at WR in the draft too and not simply rely on the former Green Bay Packers star.
The New Orleans Saints' eagerness to bring in new recruits is no surprise considering a lacklustre 7-9 record last time out.
Earlier this year it was reported that their entire roster (save Drew Brees) was available for trade and having let go of both Stills and Graham - as well as pass catching back Pierre Thomas - there is an urgent need for replacements.
The arrival of Jennings would only be the second high profile name on the offensive side of the ball to arrive in New Orleans. IF a deal materializes he will join former Buffalo Bills running back C.J. Spiller in Sean Payton's armoury.
