Trade speculation surrounding Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers has reached fever pitch after a report by Union Tribute San Diego writer Kevin Acee.
Acee is a close confidante of Rivers, and he believes that the Chargers should and will probably trade Rivers this offseason, with the star quarterback known to be uncomfortable with a potential franchise move to Los Angeles.
"Tuesday's column by Kevin Acee in the Union-Tribune San Diego marked a turning point in the story. The prime NFL writer in San Diego -- a close confidante of Rivers -- believes it's time for the Chargers to trade the franchise quarterback," NFL.com reported.
"This does not get written in a vacuum or haphazardly. The potential move to Los Angeles hovers over the entire Chargers organization, especially Rivers' future."
