Aaron Hernandez sentenced to life in prison

Published 2 Comments

We begin in the NBA where, after a dramatic night of action, we now know the 16 teams who will be competing in this year’s playoffs. The New Orleans Pelicans were the big winners on the night, pipping the Thunder to eighth spot out West after an impressive win over the Spurs. Meanwhile, in the East, the Brooklyn Nets sneaked into postseason action at the expense of the Pacers. Across to the NFL and the football world has been reacting to the life sentence handed down to former Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez yesterday. Former teammate Brandon Spikes said he was confused by the justice system. Meanwhile, on the gridiron, Buffalo Bills running back Fred Jackson has issued a warning to new arrival LeSean McCoy. Jackson has promised not to make it easy for McCoy to walk into the “bellcow” role. And finally, in baseball, the MLB are looking into the turf at the Toronto Blue Jays’ Rogers Center after several teams complained of irregular bounces.
