The former spokesman of the Glazer family has revealed that he made a frantic call to Joel Glazer after watching Manchester United legend David Beckham pick up a green and yellow scarf after the Red Devils knocked AC Milan out of the Champions League back in 2010.
As reported by the Daily Mail, Tehsin Nayani, who spent six years alongside the Glazers, has revealed in his new book that he immediately grabbed his phone to call Joel as he wasn't sure if Beckham had any motives behind his actions.
United fans have been donning the green and yellow scarves for some time now as they attempt to force the Glazer family out of Old Trafford, and Nayani has revealed that he was worried Beckham would become a poster boy for the protesters.

Here to stay
While large sections of Manchester United supporters remain unhappy with the Glazer family running the club, it appears that they're set to remain at the Theatre of Dreams for some time to come.
Nayani continued by syaing: "The Glazers were not ogres – on the contrary they were an unusually down to earth, close-knit family.
"It was 'abundantly clear they were in it for the long-term and were committed to seeing the club regain its pre-eminence.'
On the up
Despite the Glazers still being at the helm, things are looking up for the Red Devils as they go in search of long term success under Louis van Gaal.
After disaster under David Moyes last term, United now look on course to reclaim their status among Europe's elite sides next season. With six straight league victories, United finally appear to have found an identity once again, and will no doubt be hoping to challenge for the Premier League title in 2015/16.
With a couple of summer additions, United fans will feel confident that the club can return to the summit of England's elite division.
