The night following WrestleMania XXXI we saw the main roster debut of the longest reigning NXT Champion of all time Adrian Neville.

He may only have been here for a few weeks but Neville has already shown the quality that is lingering down in NXT.

With the WWE now on their semi- annual European tour, the WWE World Heavyweight Champion and first ever NXT Champion Seth Rollins has been talking about the developmental program.

Rollins was talking to the British media and was asked about the program which he could be seen as one of the founding members.

Rollins was the first ever NXT Champion and he has now climbed to the top of the mountain but he is constantly looking down at the competition.

When asked who Rollins would choose to face from the current NXT roster, the WWE World Heavyweight Champion picked an interesting name in Sami Zayn.

"He's a guy who is one of the most resilient performers that we've ever seen, and he's got an incredible connection with the audience." - Rollins on facing Zayn

Also placing praise to NXT stars such as Finn Balor, Kevin Owens, Hideo Itami and current main roster star Neville, Rollins picked Zayn as his ideal opponent.

Several NXT stars have made a huge impact when they have stepped up to the main roster including Rollins when he along with Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns debuted as the Shield in 2012.

Rollins vs Zayn would surely be a match that the fans would want to see, and given the popularity of Zayn, who knows how soon he could be on the main roster and challenging Rollins?

A big first defense

Rollins is the current champion and is set to take on one of the greatest champions of all time in Randy Orton at Extreme Rules in just over a week.

The two put on a great match at WrestleMania and at Extreme Rules they will face off inside of a steel cage with the RKO banned in the match.

It will be Rollins' first title defense and it is a match that everyone is eager to see and curious about who will emerge as champion.
