Kalisto and Sin Cara have only been on the main roster for a few weeks following their call up from the development territory of NXT, but it seems they have already made an impression.
With Jey Uso currently out injured, WWE are pushing the Lucha Dragons as the new babyface team to challenge Tyson Kidd and Cesaro for their Tag Team Championships as soon as next Sunday at Extreme Rules.
The match is still yet to be announced, but seems the most likely route WWE will take given how well the WWE Universe has taken to the new high flying team.
Kalisto and Cara impress
Kalisto has shocked and delighted audiences in NXT for months before his call up on the Raw after WrestleMania and has since become an ultimate face with the fans.
WWE needed a new masked superstar to take over after Rey Mysterio left WWE last year and it looks as though Kalisto is the perfect fit, he even moves like Mysterio when delivering some of his signature moves.
Fans have already commented on just how good Kalisto will be when he finally gains a singles push, but for now that seems like a long time away as he hopes to pick up gold with his long time friend Sin Cara.
Cara has already had a stint on the main roster but was mainly used as a jobber in his last few singles matches before returning to the development centre. The time there has helped the high flyer to hone his talent along with Kalisto and allowed him to become somewhat botch free.
Tag team situation
It is unknown where WWE is hoping to go with the newcomers to the tag team division. As of right now it seems they are filling in for the Usos whilst Jey is out for 4-6 months and it looks uncertain what Jimmy will be doing in the meantime, but Naomi's heel turn means that she is also out of the picture.
It was also reported that Naomi has taken AJ Lee's place after her retirement because the former Champion was set to turn on her "frenemy" at some point down the road, but now Naomi has been given the nod instead.
Naomi's heel turn should have happened months ago but WWE changed the script and it instead happened Monday night on Raw to give Paige a reason to leave and begin filming WWE Studio's latest film, Santa's Little Helper 2.
