Real Madrid centre-back Sergio Ramos has picked his dream five-a-side team, and has included some legendary names to boot.

As per, Ramos has chosen five players he would like to see in an all-star dream-team. He included Brazilian legend Ronaldo, but not current team-mate and namesake Cristiano.

Ramos made the move to Real Madrid from Sevilla in the summer of 2005. Since his arrival in the capital, Ramos has widely been regarded as one of Real’s best ever centre-backs, and a modern-day Galactico.

The 29-year-old has won three La Liga titles, two Copa Del Rey titles and a Champions League medal during his time at the club, whilst also being on Spain’s World Cup winning team in 2010.
Sadly, Ramos wasn’t able to include himself as part of the five-man-squad, but he came up with some big names instead.

At the back, Ramos went with AC milan hero Paolo Maldini. The defender played his entire career with the Rossoneri, going on to make over 900 appearances for the club.

He won 26 pieces of silverware during his playing career, and also made over 140 appearances for the Italian national side.

Real legend

Alongside Maldini in defence, Ramos has selected Real Madrid legend Fernando Hierro.

Once regarded as one of the world’s most sought-after players, it was Hierro’s versatility in defence and goalscoring talent that has seen him selected in Ramos team.

Claudio Caniggia was next in the team, and the enigmatic Argentinian claimed cult status at many of the club’s whom he played for.

Caniggia also earned 50 appearances for the national side, and is famous for his kiss celebration with Diego Maradona, to which his wife exclaimed: “At times I believe Diego is in love with my husband.”

Brazilian superstars

And the final two players on the list are Brazilian duo Ronaldo and Rivaldo, who tormented teams during their playing days. With a combined goal count at 732, these samba stars are as good as they come and more than deserve their place in this wonder-team.
