Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has received some valuable transfer advice from a supporter - a list, written down on paper, of five potential signings and their respective valuations.
The veteran Dutch coach met some of the club’s supporters at the Manchester United Foundation Dream Day on Monday - a chance to engage with fans who suffer from life-limiting illnesses - and read out the names to camera of the players who feature on the list.
Incidentally, all five players have been linked to Manchester United in recent weeks and months, while their valuations appear to be pretty accurate, too. (To watch the video scroll down).

Reading the list to camera, Van Gaal said: “[Mats] Hummels, £36 million. [Nathaniel] Clyne, of Southampton, £15 million. [Paul] Pogba £75 million. [Gareth] Bale £120 million. And Jackson Martinez, of Porto, £25 million. It’s easy for me, next year we are the champions!”
Van Gaal also added: “He didn’t tell me who I have to sell but, after a little pushing, I know.”

Clyne and Hummels expected to arrive
Speculation is rife that at least two of the players on the fan’s summer wish-list are likely to join the Red Devils this summer.
Earlier this month, a journalist from the Mirror revealed on MUTV that he believes United have a deal in place to sign Clyne from Southampton. The England international could replace Rafael at Old Trafford next season.
Hummels, meanwhile, has reportedly told several of his Germany international teammates that a move to Manchester United is edging ever closer.
Pogba and Bale unlikely to sign
Unfortunately, though, there appears to be very little chance of the Red Devils signing either Pogba or Bale this summer.
Real Madrid are determined to keep Bale at the Bernabeu - it’s understood that the Wales international also wants to stay with Los Blancos, despite his problems at the club this season - while Pogba reportedly favours a move to Barcelona, even though the Catalan giants are prohibited from registering any new players until January 2016 due to an existing transfer ban.
Martinez a more realistic option
Martinez, the 28-year-old Colombia international, is perhaps a slightly more realistic option with Manchester United in the market for a new centre-forward.
The South American striker has scored a magnificent 88 goals in 128 matches for FC Porto - figures not too dissimilar to those of Radamel Falcao during his spell at the Estádio do Dragão - including 28 goals this season.
