Arsene Wenger has say on Cesc Fabregas’ return to the Emirates Stadium

Published Add your comment

Cesc Fabregas will return to the Emirates Stadium this weekend for the first time since he left Arsenal to join Barcelona in 2011, and the reception is sure to be one to watch. However, whilst some Gunners fans are ready to boo the Spaniard when he takes to the north London turf in a Chelsea strip, Arsene Wenger has called for supporters to show him the respect he deserves. The Frenchman is hoping that the crowd remember Fabregas for the positive impact he had during his time with Arsenal, though whether or not history will be able to pacify the raucous home section is another matter entirely. In transfer news Ray Parlour has urged Wenger to sign Southampton ace Morgan Schneiderlin, describing him as perfect for the Gunners. The Frenchman is surely looking to play Champions League football next season and Southampton don’t look capable of offering him that.
