The reputation of NXT and the superstars who wrestle there is certainly on the rise and has been for some time now.
Each week a new episode airs and broadcasts to the world, the talent that the WWE has waiting in the wings in their developmental program.
Many actually feel that NXT has surpassed the main roster in terms of quality and while they don't have events like WrestleMania, their specials are watched by most fans.
Some storylines have just started to enter the home straight on NXT with #1 contenders beginning to be revealed.
Becky Lynch has been confirmed as the #1 contender for the NXT Womens championship and tonight, there was more revealed.
NXT was taped tonight at Full Sail University in Orlando, Florida and there was a lot of things to take away from the tapings.
First of all, the rematch everyone has been waiting for will finally take place as Sami Zayn will attempt to regain his NXT Championship from Kevin Owens.
Owens and Zayn fought for the title at NXT Takeover Rival back in February and haven't formally set foot in the ring since.
Zayn ambushed Owens this past Wednesday on NXT after Owens had secured a win over Alex Riley.
The two are set now to headline yet another NXT Takeover special which was also announced to be taking place live on Wednesday May 20th.
Whats going to happen?
The next NXT Takeover special pretty much already has two matches confirmed now and the first will be the rematch for th NXT championship.
Zayn and Owens was ended after the referee stopped the match back in February at Takeover Rival.
Owens has been unstoppable since then after defending his title against Finn Balor and defeating the returning Alex Riley twice.
The other match that is expected to happen is the highly anticipated match between Becky Lynch and Sasha Banks for the NXT Womens championship.
The two have a lot of history and Lynch defeated both Charlotte and Bayley to become the #1 contender on the last episode of NXT.
