Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech wants to join a Champions League contender if he completes a move away from Stamford Bridge this summer, according to the Daily Mail.

The same report claims that French moneybags Paris Saint-Germain are set to make a £7 million move for the experienced 'keeper in the near future, but it remains to be seen as to whether the Blues hierarchy would be prepared to offload him at that price.

Tricky campaign

Cech, of course, has endured a tricky campaign under the guidance of Jose Mourinho, failing to secure a regular place in the club's starting XI.

Belgian youngster Thibaut Courtois, who finally arrived on English soil after three years on loan at La Liga outfit Atletico Madrid, is now recognised as the club's No.1, with Cech having to make-do with a place on the bench.

Despite being 32-years-old and failing to star on a regular basis this term, the goalkeeper is still recognised as one of the world's best, so it's extremely unlikely that he will move to one of Europe's big-boys sooner rather than later.

A move to PSG, then, would no doubt prove a fine switch for the player as he goes in search of more silverware in the latter stages of his career.

Scholes wants Hazard to change

Manchester United hero Paul Scholes wants Chelsea star Eden Hazard to be more selfish as he goes in search of matching the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

The former United midfielder claims Hazard is a 'gentle soul', who must become relentless in front of goal over the coming years.

“One thing I do wonder with Hazard is whether he has that hunger to score goals that you see in Ronaldo, Messi and [Luis] Suarez,” Scholes wrote in The Independent.

“Those are players who have a ferocious appetite to put the ball in the net. They’re unstoppable. Hazard seems to me to be a relatively gentle soul.

"One who is just as happy skipping past a couple of opponents and putting it on a plate for a team-mate.

“He does that very well, and I have no doubt he will deserve his accolade at the PFA awards. Playing the way he does, under pressure to score goals and make them, is not easy and he has been a big part of Chelsea’s success.

"But in this modern age, if he wishes to challenge the achievements of Messi and Ronaldo then he will have to prove that he can match their relentless desire to score goals.”

Mega deal off

The Daily Mirror have reported that Chelsea won't be landing the Real Madrid duo of Gareth Bale and Raphael Varane in a sensational £100 million deal this summer.

The report claims that the Blues were set to make a bid for the duo, however it appears that the Spanish giants aren't prepared to negotiate with the Blues over either player.

There's no doubt about it, with the transfer window looming, the Blues look set for a busy summer, but it appears that they won't be landing any of the top names from the Bernabeu.
