Football News

Chelsea scouts cover the globe in search of the best young talent - and they may have found the next superstar in waiting.

The Blues are reportedly tracking Youri Tielemans, a 17-year-old midfielder who is earning a reputation as the next big thing in Belgian football.

And the teenager added to his burgeoning reputation with a sensational goal for his club Anderlecht in their 5-1 win over Kortrijk this weekend.

Chelsea face stiff competition for his signature, with Atletico Madrid also reportedly keeping tabs, although Blues scouts have been regular attendees at the Constant Vanden Stock Stadium this season.

Tielemans has been a regular for the Belgian giants this season, making more than 30 league appearances. Despite still being just 17, he has made 60 league appearances in his career to date and has played seven times for Belgium’s under-21 side.
