WWE fans enjoyed an impressive WrestleMania XXXI at the end of last month, but now the honeymoon period is certainly over.
In the last couple of weeks, Daniel Bryan's health has been a big talking point in WWE, leading many experts to believe that the former WWE Heavyweight Champion might never reach the heights that compelled millions to support the Yes! Movement again.
Bryan missed the Extreme Rules, but WWE did announce the return of the Tough Enough show at the pay-per-view, however, one man that certainly won't be returning is former wrestling superstar Goldberg.
No return in WWE
Goldberg was speaking to Fox Sports over the weekend and WWE fans will not like what he had to say. The former wrestling star explained in the frank and honest interview that he will make a wrestling return at some point, but Goldberg insists that this return won't be with WWE.
"I'm going to make an appearance in professional wrestling, but it won't be for the WWE," Goldberg told Fox Sports.
"If I put wrestling boots and wrestling trunks on one last time -- and I'm going to -- it's going to be done by me and me only."
Hating on WWE
Goldberg didn't stop there, adding that his relationship with Vince McMahon and WWE is not in a good place right now, something that he certainly doesn't care about.
"Anything I did with the WWE was not therapeutic by any stretch of the imagination," added Goldberg.
"The reality is that nobody's going to tell you that because they have an umbilical cord hooked to Vince McMahon. I, ladies and gentlemen, do not. So, therefore, I can say what I want and not have any repercussions because I don't rely on them for a job."
