Shane Ray cited for marijuana possession, could tumble down draft board

The 2015 NFL Draft will take place on Thursday, and it looks like it will be a long night for one prospect in particular.

Former University of Missouri defensive end Shane Ray was expected to be a first rounder, but everything changed on Monday when he was cited for marijuana possession.

Expect Ray to now tumble down the draft board on Thursday night.

Terrible mistake 

"An edge-rushing prospect thought to have a good shot at being selected in Round One has encountered an unwanted off-field issue three days before the draft," ProFootballTalk reported on Tuesday.

"Defensive end Shane Ray, a former University of Missouri standout, was cited Monday morning on a marijuana possession charge, Corporal Scott White of the Missouri State Highway Patrol confirmed to PFT on Monday night."

NBA update 

Across to the NBA, and Chicago Bulls failed to finish off the Milwaukee Bucks yet again.

The Bulls had led 3-0 in the opening playoff series, but the Bucks now only trail the series 3-2, after an impressive 94-88 road win on Monday night.

UFC update 

And finally, UFC Champion Jon Jones has been released on a bond, with the fighter facing a felony charge after a hit-and-run incident.

"UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones has been released on bond after turning himself in to police Monday after a hit-and-run incident he was allegedly involved in a day earlier in Albuquerque, New Mexico," ESPN reported.

"The Albuquerque Police Department had reported Jones to be in custody via Twitter earlier Monday night, and the UFC acknowledged to ESPN that Jones was in custody and that the sanctioning body was "still in the process of gathering facts.""
