James Wilson could leave Manchester United on loan

Manchester United striker James Wilson could complete a temporary switch away from the club this summer, according to the Daily Mail.

The report claims that the club's hierarchy are set to reveal to potential suitors in the coming weeks that the player will be available for a loan deal for the 2015/16 campaign.

Wilson, who is still only 19-years-old, made his first-team debut for the club under Ryan Giggs last season, however has failed to really kick on this season.

Despite playing in as many as 12 league games, the teenager has only managed one Premier League goal, which came in the club's 2-0 victory at Loftus Road against QPR in January.

Ultimately, then, especially in the last few months, Wilson has failed to feature on a regular basis under Louis van Gaal, with the attacking trio of Robin van Persie, Wayne Rooney and Radamel Falcao all at the manager's disposal.

It appears, then, that the Red Devils will hand him the chance of first team football for next season by allowing him to join another Premier League side on loan.

And, if the the Daily Mail is to be believed, the player won't be short of admirers, with the likes of Newcastle United, Everton, West Brom and Stoke all interested in his services.

It remains to be seen, however, as to whether any of the clubs will step up their interest in the player, who looks destined for the top.

Huge future

There's no doubt about it, if the youngster manages to play week in, week out, then he will score goals. A natural finisher, Wilson has seemingly impressed the United hierarchy, and looks set for a huge future in the game.

A loan deal, at this stage in his career, has to be a good thing for the forward, who will be determined to prove his credentials on England's elite stage.

If he completes the right move this summer - and does the business on the pitch - then expect him to return to Old Trafford in a year ready to fight for his first-team place. No doubt Wilson has the talent to lead the Manchester United line for many years, but he must continue to learn the trade first.
