With £150 million to spend this summer Manchester United’s transfer business is very much a case of ‘watch this space’, and the latest reports are sure to have Red Devils fans excited. Manager Louis van Gaal is apparently ready to sanction moves for both Gareth Bale and Memphis Depay, despite the fact they both play in similar positions, and he has the backing of chief executive officer Ed Woodward. With United’s attacking lineup already bursting with talent it’s anyone’s guess where they would both fit in, but we’ll leave that issue to Van Gaal himself. From two potential United attackers to one already at the club, it’s bad news on the Wayne Rooney front, with fears having been established that the striker won’t play again this season. The England captain picked up an injury during the 3-0 loss to Everton, and early signs don’t look promising.
