It has been revealed that one of the most prolific members of a tag team in professional wrestling has suffered a horrifying injury following a dirt bike accident.
None other than one half of one of the biggest sibling teams in wrestling, The Hardy Boyz, Jeff, sustained a broken leg after a jump he made during a dirt bike track session did not go accordingly to plan.
Jeff and his older brother, Matt, are currently signed to Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) where they are the Tag Team Champions.

The President of TNA, Dixie Carter, took to Twitter to share a video of Jeff's accident, along with the caption 'Grateful he was not more injured than he was.'
Although the health and physical well-being of her wrestlers will doubtlessly be her top priority, she will also be concerned about Slammiversary, where Hardy and his brother were said to be defending their Tag Team Titles.

In addition, Matt Hardy also tweeted his concern for his brother by quoting Carter's link to the video and adding the straight forward word 'Damn.'
Although The Hardy Boyz are perhaps best-known for their innovative technique both in and outside of the ring, as well as their high-flying moves and persistence in pushing themselves to the absolute limit, this jump was clearly one move too far and has resulted in an awful injury for 37-year-old Jeff.
In the video Carter shared, it appears that Jeff is on course for the majority of the track in the lead up to the jump, before eventually taking off and not gaining enough momentum in the air which in turn meant he landed with high impact sooner than intended.
Given their athletic ability as wrestlers, this injury is not the first either of the Hardy brothers have received in past years.
Earlier in 2015, there was a lot of discussion surrounding an injury Jeff received after falling from a steel cage during a performance for TNA, which left him unconscious.
The debate arose, however, as to whether Jeff's injury was all part of a storyline and an intended stunt, but one thing is for sure - both of the Hardy brothers know how to sell a move to the best standard as they have done so many times during their wrestling tenure.
For Jeff now however, there is no doubting the reality of this awful leg break and the professional wrestling world can only wish him a speedy recovery and hope he makes a return to the ring sooner rather than later.
