The Director of Operations and the WWE World Heavyweight Champion have had their fair share of heat over the past few weeks, with many speculating that the two could be set for a show down.
Kane has already choke-slammed Seth Rollins twice, so it would make sense that the World Champion would be set to reply to this at some point, but this week's sit down interview with Michael Cole saw Kane talk about Rollins - and not in a very good light.
The former Big Red Monster said that Rollins is a spoilt brat and that he reminds him of Shawn Michaels, he was asked if he liked Rollins and stated that it was irrelevant, it was his job to make sure Rollins is champion and the future of WWE because that is what is best for business.
Kane also talked about being member of The Authority and was asked how he can sit by and watch someone like Rollins climb to the top of the ladder, Kane replied by stating his role in the Authority and the fact that it is his job to ensure that Seth Rollins achieves his potential and he is going to do that job to the best of his ability.
Kane also reiterated that he doesn't have a personal problem with Seth Rollins, even though it may seem that way to the fans. The former champion almost cost Seth his World Championship at Extreme Rules when he choke-slammed both him and Randy Orton and had no business being in the cage in the first place since it was his job to guard the door.
Things didn't improve this week on Raw either because Kane and Seth were forced to team up to take on Roman Reigns and Randy Orton, and Kane threw Seth into the ring to take an RKO and a Superman Punch to allow Reigns and Orton to pick up the victory.
It was then announced that in less than three weeks at Payback, Seth Rollins will be defending his championship in a triple threat match against both Reigns and Orton.
The only way this feud between the monster and the champion can continue is for Triple H to announce Kane as the special guest referee for the match, that way he can either cost Seth the title or help him win it.
His allegiance will then be known for sure and the two can then either bury the hatchet or open up a real feud, because right now it just seems like Kane hates Rollins but can't do anything about it because of his ties to The Authority.
Could this be the return of the Big Red Monster? And could this be Kane's final bow with WWE? How would you like Kane to leave?
