The NFL Draft is one of the most dramatic nights on the sporting calendar and, as the 2015 incarnation grows closer by the hour, football fans across the globe are desperate for any sort of insight into their team's plans.

Usually any snippets of info come from beat reporters, anonymous franchise officials or insiders like Adam Schefter.

That's not quite the case though when the Chicago Bears' number seven overall pick is concerned - one hyped draft prospect going on record to say he believes the Windy City franchise will pick him if he is still on the board.

Kevin White, one of the top wide receiver talents in the class of 2015, spoke to the Chicago-Sun Times in the run up to the draft itself and the West Virginia product is feeling good about his chances of ending up in the city that will host tonight's extravaganza:

"I feel like if I'm there at seven, I think they will pick me," revealed White.

The Chicago Bears could certainly do with some reinforcements at the wide receiver position after saying goodbye to veteran Brandon Marshall early in the offseason. While they have added Eddie Royal from the Chargers, White told reporters that the Chicago staff were "very high" on him when he visited the team earlier this month - replacing Marshall one of the topics they discussed.

Top talent

White burst onto the scene in his senior year (1,447 receiving yards) and has risen up draft boards even further after an impressive combine. where he ran a 4.35 second 40-yard dash to prove that he has speed to go with his 6' 3" frame. Many believe he has the biggest upside of any WR in this year's draft, including top-ranked Amari Cooper.

The Chicago Bears have been linked with nose tackle Danny Shelton at the seven spot but, if White is still on the board, it would be a brave move not to select the WR.

That begs the question; will Kevin White drop down as far as number seven?

As alluded to above, Amari Cooper is likely the first of this year's bumper wide receiver class with Oakland and Washington both reportedly keen on the Alabama product.

With quarterbacks and defensive stars likely making up the majority of the early picks there is a fairly big chance White is still on the board when Chicago get on the clock.
