Saturday night in Las Vegas the world finally gets to see Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao go head-to-head in the ring and, as the tension builds, so do the pre-fight demands.
Looking from the outside in it appears to many that Floyd Mayweather has dominated the negotiating period - his Filipino nemesis seemingly giving in to most, if not all, of Mayweather's demands.

The majority of these have concerned issues outside the ring, from the fight date to the money split. Now though, new images have shown perhaps the most bizarre request that Pacquiao has had to yield to just days before the big event.
ESPN reporter Robert Flores posted a picture today showing Manny Pacquiao in the rather undignified position of having to prove to Nevada state's officials that the plastic cup he plans to wear for the fight on Saturday night does not break any rules.
Insider Joe Tessitore went on to explain the situation as he knows it. Apparently Floyd Mayweather and his team were concerned that the cup Pacquiao planned to wear might cover more than just his groin region - protecting his lower torso too, thus reducing the impact of the US fighter's body shots.
The demand won't earn him many extra dollars (like the 60-40 split will) but, with his perfect record on the line in front of the entire world, it is clear that Floyd Mayweather is taking no chances come the first round.
Fortunately for Manny Pacquiao the Nevada State Athletic Commission found no issues with the cup. The commissioner evening signing the equipment to satisfy any doubt (and make it all even more weirder).
Mind games, paranoia and sheer audacity have been cited as possible explanations for the pre-fight request. Manny Pacquiao's corner though believe it is another sign that Floyd Mayweather is actually trying to worm out of the bout:
"I don't think any fighter is afraid but I don't think he wanted this fight. He was forced into a fight he didn't want to take."
"They made a protest about Manny's cup. They came to training this week, inspected it and approved it. The commissioner marked it and signed it to make sure it's the one he's wearing on the night. But it's the regular cup."
