‘Alexandre The Great’. That could be the chants across Stamford Bridge by Chelsea fans as French forward,Alexandre Lacazette is set to move to the capital as The Sun reports, Chelsea will offer £15million-plus-Loic Remy in a cash-plus-player deal this summer.

Top Form

Currently playing at Lyon,Lacazette is the top scorer in Ligue 1 scoring 27 goals in 31 outings and thus have generated a lot of interest across Europe.

Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich, Arsenal,Manchester United,Liverpool are the other suitors in queue. But now it seems,Chelsea would wrap up the deal ahead of any other club, majorly for the fact that Remy will be included in the offer.

Chelsea secured the services of Remy from Queens Park Rangers last summer for £10million and by offering him and an extra £15million will certainly meet Lyon’s asking price for the Frenchman at £25million.

Remy has delivered in whatever limited opportunities he got, playing second fiddle to Diego Costa, scoring five league goals, but could have established himself in the star-studded line-up if his own injury hadn’t sidelined him in Costa’s absence due to the prolonged hamstring injury.

Lacazette also has the same agent as Chelsea defender, Kurt Zouma’s brother, Lionel and that could quicken the pace of the deal being completed.

Would add depth to Chelsea

Finishing, long shots, dribbling are Lacazette’s key strengths and playing under the watchful guidance of Jose Mourinho and developing himself further would be too much of a temptation to resist.

Arsenal and Liverpool will be closely monitoring the progress as both clubs are desperate to land the French striker. It remains to be seen which side Lacazette chooses this summer.
