Extreme Rules was over a week ago and we got to see WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins defend his title against Randy Orton.
As is often the case with the self proclaimed future of the WWE, he managed to win the match in some very controversial circumstances.
Despite the match having a stipulation which banned the RKO, Rollins made use of the move in order to get the win.
There was mass confusion around the arena after the match and to this day, there still hasn't been a clear explanation of the rules of the match.
The WWE Universe and commentators in attendance weren't the only people left unhappy and confused by the matches climax.
Former WWE star Lance Storm has been discussing the event with Chris Jericho on his Talk is Jericho pod cast and has been very critical.
Storm even labelled the main event as a joke and claimed that neither stipulations were delivered on as the steel cage was made unimportant by Kane and J&J Security being involved in the match.
The announcers were left stunned by the climax of the match and even Kane admitted that the use of the move was illegal.
Storm being very critical of the main event really did reflect the WWE Universe's reaction to the match and he didn't stop there.
Big Show vs Roman Reigns in a last man standing match was unanimously voted as the second best match of the night by Jericho and Storm.
The Tag Team championship match between Cesaro and Tyson Kidd and the New Day was the match of the night in the eyes of the two former WWE stars.
Need to come back again?
The main event of Extreme Rules wasn't well received and once again in 2015 the WWE may have to put a lot of thought into the next PPV.
Payback has already been improved upon with Rollins set to defend his title against both Randy Orton and Roman Reigns.
Who knows who will leave Payback as the champion but as long as the main event is enough for the WWE Universe, they should leave happy.
