Chile legend Ivan Zamorano has hailed Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez, claiming that the versatile forward can be as good as he wants to be.
As reported by fourfourtwo, Zamorano has in fact claimed that the Gunners man produces superhuman performances and will prove the catalyst for his national side at this summer's Copa America tournament.
Sanchez, of course, has taken the Premier League by storm after joining Arsenal from Barcelona this past summer, and he will no doubt be hoping to continue his fine form in his homeland next month.
Zamorano certainly expects him to be the main-man in the tournament, as he told the Copa America official website: "He [Sanchez] is the leading figure for us. Because of the level that he has displayed at Arsenal, he is the card we can play to do something different.
"When he has the ball something always happens and that is a good thing. If he plays well, we have a good chance.
"Let's hope the other 10 [players] are also in top form. He can be as good as he wants, although he can still improve. He will do very well for the team."
"[Claudio] Bravo has amply demonstrated that he has the leadership qualities to take the team forward," he added.
"Through his attitude and courage, Gary Medel can lift the side. Arturo Vidal, with what it means to have triumphed in Italian football [with Juventus] which I believe is the most difficult in the world, can affect many from a human and sporting viewpoint - he is very mature."
Sanchez certainly doesn't hold back on the pitch and Zamorano has insisted that he loves watching the way the forward plays the game.
He continued by saying: "We already know what Alexis represents, he is a boy you enjoy watching play, the superhuman effort he puts in."
There's no doubt about it, if Sanchez hits top form this summer, then Chile will expect to go all the way in the Copa America.
Talisman for the title
One thing's for sure, Arsenal fans will be hoping he continues his tremendous form in the 2015/16 campaign. Ultimately, Sanchez may well play a key role in helping the club retain the FA Cup this term, but it's the league title that Gunners fans crave.
And, Sanchez has the potential to lead the Gunners to the silverware next term. This season, of course, Belgian ace Eden Hazard has played a leading role for Chelsea in their success, but Sanchez certainly hasn't been very far behind his Premier League counterpart.
There's no doubt about it, with Arsenal seemingly improving as a team, Sanchez could be even better in 2015/16. The league title isn't out of reach for Arsene Wenger and Co.
