When any NXT superstar's WWE debut is hyped up, the WWE Universe expect them to make an appearance on WWE programming as soon as the next episode.
This is why when Sami Zayn made his emphatic first time appearance in WWE during this week's episode of Monday Night Raw, the crowd were immensely excited as no one was expecting it.
The excitement was only increased further by the fact that Zayn's entrance as a contender for John Cena's open challenge for the United States Championship Title was revealed by none other than professional wrestling legend, Bret Hart.
The stage was set for an incredible start for Sami Zayn in the WWE, as well as a huge debut match against US Champion John Cena.
As his music hit, Zayn's hometown crowd gave the loudest reception of the night but unfortunately, it appeared as though Zayn got a little too carried away with this amazing moment.
Just before entering the ring, Zayn took to the top of the steel stairs to throw his arms up in the air and encourage the crowd further, but did so a little too aggressively and had a significant amount of pain in his left shoulder.
Although he admirably battled on through the match, it has become apparent that the injury Zayn sustained is even worse than first thought as he could well be out of action for months.
If this news, which has been reported by the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, is correct, it would doubtlessly be a huge shame for the 30-year-old, who has already missed a number of editions of NXT's show so far this year.
As if the injury itself was not bad news enough, Zayn was due to face Kevin Owens for the title at NXT Takeover: Unstoppable on May 20th, but it seems like that match could well be in jeopardy.
If he is unable to take part, which at this point in time seems likely, either Finn Balor or Hideo Itami will likely take his place against Owens later this month.
Although incidents such as this are unavoidable, both in WWE and in professional wrestling as a whole, the WWE Universe will be hoping that the timing of this injury does not hinder Zayn's potential as a WWE superstar nor his inevitable route to becoming one of the most popular.
