Recently Manchester United have released the news that they have agreed to sign Memphis Depay.
The flamboyant, Dutch winger has been often linked to Manchester United and has tweeted his delight over the deal agreed.
At the moment his position at the club will be unknown by everyone except Louis Van Gaal until he joins the club. I personally expect him to play on the wing (opposite to Di Maria), which would allow Mata to occupy Fellaini's role in the attacking-midfield position and Rooney up-top.
Memphis Depay is sometimes called the "Dutch CR7", and is one of the most impressive young-talents in World Football. Most people will have been very informed on his ability, however for those who are not there are many different videos online where you can see his dribbling, skill, and shooting abilities.
He is also very fast, which would give us more pace down the wing than Mata has to offer at the moment.
Louis Van Gaal has a very good relationship with Memphis, so it would be very good to see how they work together. It looks like as he is a young-talent who will carry over his form to Manchester United.
A bonus is, he's good at free-kicks; Manchester United have only scored two free-kicks this season (Mata vs Stoke and Di Maria vs QPR). I personally do not think he will be a "flop" and I do think he will be United's top-scorer, if not close to their top-scorer next season.
The question now is, will Manchester United get their transfers "done and dusted" early, this would leave a lot of time for the team to begin to "gel" together; this was one of the problems for United at the start of the season.
The pre-season tour will also give Manchester United the time to test themselves against the likes of Chelsea, Paris Saint Germain and Barcelona for the upcoming European football ahead (assuming they qualify for European football).
To conclude, I think Depay is a fantastic signing and will be an extremely gifted talent to watch in the Premier League.
Similarly as good to watch as players like Eden Hazard and Alexis Sanchez.
