Manchester United step up interest in Alexandre Lacazette

Manchester United are stepping up their interest in Chelsea transfer target Alexandre Lacazette, according to reports in France.

French newspaper Le 10 Sport claims that Lacazette has three main suitors - Manchester United, Paris Saint Germain and a contract extension with Lyon.

The OL forward has been heavily linked with a move away from the club in recent months, although if Lyon secure Champions League qualification for next season - which looks likely - then Jean-Michel Aulas will be under less pressure to sell.

However, he may find an offer of €30m difficult to turn down - an asking price that is not out of the question considering Lacazette’s stunning form in front of goal and the big-spending capabilities of his suitors.

PSG are extremely interested in Lacazette, who currently leads Ligue 1’s scoring chart with 27 goals so far this season - eight more than PSG’s Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

And he has 11 more goals than Edinson Cavani - reportedly Manchester United’s other striker target this summer. It has been reported today in Italy that Cavani has agreed to join Juventus, and reports in France lean on this by suggesting Louis van Gaal will instead turn his attention to Lacazette.

What do you think Manchester United fans - would Lacazette be a good addition to your club this summer?
