Chelsea new-boy Juan Cuadrado will shine at Stamford Bridge once he's fully settled in England, according to national team-mate Carlos Bacca.

The Colombian winger moved from Italy when he swapped Fiorentina for Chelsea in the January transfer window but in the few months that he's been in the Premier League he has failed to live up to his £27 million price-tag.

January Move

The Blues agreed to meet Fiorentina's asking price after allowing Mohamed Salah to go out on loan the other way for the remainder of the season, but, as it stands, the Egyptian has performed better out of the two.

Since making his move to Stamford Bridge, Cuadrado has made just three starts for Jose Mourinho and has played a combined 235 minutes for the West London club, failing to score or assist a single goal as of yet.

Standout Performer

The 26-year-old was a sensation at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, and it was his performances during the summer and then for Fiorentina in Serie A that attracted Chelsea's interest, and one of his team-mates believe it's only a matter of time before he shows his best again.

Bacca, of Sevilla, has worked with Cuadrado with Colombia and he believes once the winger is fully settled with the style of English football, he will thrive at the club and under Mourinho.

Bacca Backing

"I know Cuadrado well as I see him in the national team," he said, according to the Daily Express.

"He's a great player and there's a reason Chelsea signed him - one of the best teams in the world.

"But we know that when you change leagues from Italy to England they are different leagues that have different ways of playing.

"I think that he signed for a team that has a very demanding manager and he also has to adapt to the league and the team with a squad that had already gelled.

"I think that he will very soon start to show what he's made of."
