The WWE has once again been rocked by a Daniel Bryan announcement tonight on RAW after the Leader of the Yes movement gave us a health update.
Bryan was the holder of the Intercontinental Championship after winning the seven man ladder match at WrestleMania XXXI.
Bryan wasn't able to make his first title defense however as he was sent home from the company's European tour early due to health scares.
His match with Bad News Barrett was called off and we hadn't seen Bryan since with everyone left questioning his physical condition.
Bryan missed a large part of 2014 due to injury and it now appears he is set to miss a large part of 2015 for the same reason.
Bryan came to the ring and delivered a heartfelt sentiment to the WWE Universe but it ended on a very sour note.
Declaring his return as unknown, Bryan thanked the WWE Universe in a goodbye message he never got to deliver last year.
As for his title, Bryan officially forfeited the Intercontinental Championship and left with his head down towards the floor.
When Bryan was injured after Extreme Rules last year, he only returned for the 2015 Royal Rumble match.
Now being injured again must give a sense of deja vu for Bryan who is now once again set for a spell on the sidelines.
Eliminating the contenders
Shortly after Bryan's announcement, Michael Cole made the announcement that there would be a special second PPV added for the month of may.
Bringing back the Elimination Chamber, the WWE Network exclusive will air on Sunday May 31st and could be the location of our next Intercontinental championship match.
If that is the case, it will be interesting to see who will be the six men chosen to compete for the title and even more interesting to see who will walk away as champion.
