Italian veteran midfielder Andrea Pirlo has admitted he is unsure on Paul Pogba's future, but he doesn't see him returning to Manchester United.
Pogba is the player on everyone's transfer list at the moment and has attracted interest from all the top clubs around Europe after a very impressive season for Juventus.
The French midfielder left the Red Devils in 2012 on a free transfer due to the lack of first team opportunities and Pirlo believes the way Pogba was treated at United is the main reason why a return looks unlikely.
According to the Daily Mail Pirlo is not surprised with all the interest in his teammate and also claimed he is very happy at Juventus.
"All the interest in Pogba is of no surprise. When you put in great performances you get attention from the top clubs in Europe, it has always been that way.
"He seems very happy at Juventus, I know he is focused on finishing the season with a lot of success. Whatever the future is for him I don't see it being Manchester United.
"He didn't feel he was treated well there. I know that was under Sir Alex Ferguson and now there is a new coach, but I do not seeing him returning to a club where he was not treated well."
Pirlo's comments are clearly a devastating blow for United but will bring great joy to the blue half of Manchester. The Daily Mirror have reported Manchester City are planning to make Pogba the highest paid midfielder in the world by offering him £250,000 a week after tax.
With Yaya Toure's future looking ever more likely to be away from the Etihad Stadium, Pogba could be the perfect replacement.
City have a battle on their hands though as despite Pirlo's comments United will still pursue their former star. Meanwhile Real Madrid, Paris Saint Germain and Chelsea will also be fighting for his signature.
