Philippe Coutinho has collected Liverpool's goal of the month award for April after fans voted for his strike against Blackburn Rovers in the FA Cup quarter-final.

This is now the third month in a row where the Brazilian has won the award after his superb winner at Ewood Park sent Liverpool to Wembley in the FA Cup semi-finals.

The goal was the overwhelming favourite with the Liverpool supporters as it picked up 41 percent of the votes.

It featured a neat one-two between Coutinho and Jordan Henderson which allowed the midfielder into the box and lash into the bottom corner of the net.

Other goals that were in contention included academy star Ryan Kent's goal during the U21s win over Everton which came second, while Raheem Sterling's curler against Newcastle United finished third.

Liverpool's No.10 has now added to his collection of wonder strikes this season, his 30-yard goal against Southampton won the prize in February and then his sensational winner against Manchester City won the award for March.

Coutinho has been a shining light in what has been a disappointing campaign for Liverpool. He was one of four players nominated for both the PFA Player and Young Player of the Year awards and is the Reds' third top goalscorer this season with eight goals in all competitions.

Brendan Rodgers will know he will have a task on his hands to keep the Samba star at Anfield and cannot risk losing anymore key players following Luis Suarez's departure last season and the subsequent future of Sterling looking unclear.
