Valdes stated: "Ah, I feel a special love for Juan Mata and Ander Herrera. And also Andreas Pereira. One more? Wayne Rooney – it is a good team I think!"
There's no doubt about it, Valdes clearly has a great deal of love for his fellow Spaniards, whilst he has clearly taken to Pereria, who is slowly but surely breaking into the first-team scene at Old Trafford.
And Valdes has admitted that he's enjoying life in Manchester, claiming the Spanish contingent has helped him settle to life on English soil.
He continued by saying: "It’s a friendly group and an easy group for enabling you to adapt when you are here and your English is maybe not so good!
"So it’s great to be next to Mata and Herrera in the changing room."
2015/16 will be big for Pereria
For Pereria, though, next season will be a huge one in his development as a Manchester United player. At the end of the day, after signing with the club for the long-term, he's clearly rated by Red Devils chief Louis van Gaal, so will no doubt be hoping to break into the side next term.
Perhaps, though, a loan deal would be best for the youngster as he goes in search of first-team football week in, week out. If he remains at United for the 2015/16, then it's crucial he's handed the opportunities to impress.
He's certainly an exciting talent, and may well roam the pitch at Old Trafford for many years to come.
