A.J. Feeley reveals he witnessed New England Patriots using doctored footballs

The New England Patriots have not been having a great time of things at late, to say the very least.

The Deflategate saga has followed around New England like a bad stink ever since the news broke that the Indianapolis Colts reported some footballs being deflated during the AFC Championship Game earlier in the year.

Well the punishments have come in and the NFL have not been kind to Tom Brady and the Pats. But things might be about to get even worse.

Brady the Repeat Offender?

Former NFL quarterback A.J. Feeley has today revealed that the Patriots were breaking the rules about properly preparing footballs long before Deflategate was even a concept.

The former Miami Dolphins QB  appeared on 97.5 The Fanatic where he that when he was playing for the Dolphins in 2004, he saw Patriots quarterback Tom Brady using old, already-worn in balls at a time when NFL rules specified that teams had to use new balls provided by the league.

Typical Patriots

“Prior to Tommy (Brady) and Peyton Manning going to the league and saying, ‘Let us doctor our balls’ we used to all play with the same balls,” Feeley said to Anthony Gargano And The Morning Show.

“Somehow this beat-up ball from the ball boy was getting thrown in on offense for New England, yet when we were on offense this orange brand new ball was getting thrown in.”

Feeley said that Brady was getting obviously an advantage from using doctored football, and that Feeley really had a problem with it and considered it cheating, calling it a real issue that annoyed him.

“He’s getting his own balls thrown in on offense,” Feeley added. “That was an issue to me at the time. . . . We saw it then (the Patriots cheating).”

One has to wonder why no one actually brought this up with the league at the time? Maybe the Patriots have been bending the rules all this time...
