Carlo Ancelotti hot favourite to be next Manchester City manager

Carlo Ancelotti has become the new favourite to be the next manager of Manchester City following Real Madrid's semi-final Champions League exit.

This result could mean Real Madrid end the season trophyless after cup exits and are four points adrift of Barcelona in La Liga with just two games remaining.

Despite spending another £80 million in the summer on new arrivals, Madrid could not replicate last season's success and the bookmakers have taken a surge of bets on the Italian being shown the exit door.

Michael Bowers Sports Trader for Betfair commented: “Things look likely to change at the much loved Spanish club and with pressure rising on Manuel Pellegrini at Manchester City.

"It’s no wonder Ancelotti has moved to joint favourite to become the next City manager.”

Betfair odds on next Man City manager

Carlo Ancelotti 6/4

Pep Guardiola 6/4

Jurgen Klopp 4/1

Patrick Vieira 8/1

Rafa Benitez 16/1

SkyBet have recently installed Ancelotti as low as 4/6 to be at Eastlands next season and even if he doesn't, chances of him remaining as Madrid boss are incredibly slim.
