Thomas Muller could join Manchester United this summer

Manchester United could make a move for Bayern Munich striker Thomas Muller in the upcoming transfer window, according to ESPN.

It has been suggested that the Red Devils could make a bid for the talented 25-year-old in the near future, as Red Devils chief Louis van Gaal attempts to be reunited with the Bayern man.

They have a past

Van Gaal, of course, handed Muller an integral role in the Bavarians first-team when he managed the club back in 2009, so it appears that this move is possible this summer.

In fact, the same report goes on to say that Bayern may well accept a bid from United if they offer £30 million plus to sign him.

The potential arrival of Muller could, however, throw the futures of Robin van Persie and Radamel Falcao into further doubt, with the same report revealing that they could both move on at the end of the campaign.

Both players have endured tricky campaigns under the Van Gaal regime, so it wouldn't be entirely surprising if they left the Theatre of Dreams.

Muller would be great

One thing's for sure, if United managed to secure the signing of Muller, then it would only improve them as an attacking force.

The striker is one of the world-best and would no doubt suit the United-style of play. He'd bring bags of experience and would no doubt score goals in England's elite division. United should make their move.
