WWE Diva Brie Bella injured at live event?

Published 1 Comments

Payback takes place in a few hours time and it looks like there could be some doubt hanging over how much of a part Brie Bella will play in proceedings.

The former Divas Champion was reportedly injured at a live event on Friday night as her and sister Nikki took on their opponents for Sunday night, Tamina Snuka and Naomi.

Tamin and Brie were going at it in the ring when Brie was knocked down and landed awkwardly on her shoulder, the referee put up the dreaded 'X' sign and Brie was looked at by trainers. The Bellas went on to win the match regardless of the injury but after the match Naomi and Tamina beat Nikki down.

That is, until the returning Paige ran out to make the save, which begs the question, if Brie is unable to compete on Sunday, will Paige take her place?

The British Divas wasn't set to return until June after being away filming Santa's Little Helper along with The Miz, but instead she made her return last night and put herself in contention for the match if Brie is not medically cleared to compete.

Paige was last seen in her home country of England when she was beat down by Naomi after she won the battle royal to become the number one contender to the Divas Championship and hopefully she is set to pick up where she left off.

This is the only divas match on the card on Sunday, but Payback also boasts an "I Quit" match for the United States Championship between John Cena and Rusev. This will be the fourth time the two have met in consecutive pay-per-views, with Cena leading with a 2-1 advantage.

The Tag Team Championships will be defended in a two out of three falls match between The New Day and Tyson Kidd and Cesaro whilst Sheamus and Dolph Ziggler face each other again following Extreme Rules' "kiss me arse" match.

Adrian Neville and King Barrett also face off for the third time with the record level at 1-1 whilst  Bray Wyatt and Ryback collide and the kick off show boasts Macho Mandow and AxelMania up against the Ascension.

The main event sees Seth Rollins defend his WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns and Randy Orton in a fatal four way match. With much speculation surrounding this match, it is expected to deliver. Especially with the stipulation that if Seth Rollins loses, Kane is fired from The Authority.
