Goalkeepers scoring own goals is somewhat of a rarity in professional football, but when they do happen, they're absolutely hilarious.
Presenting Stade Brest's Joan Hartock. In a video provided by Eurosport during the Ligue 2 clash with Troyes, the 28-year-old is shown to completely misjudge the flight of an awkward back pass, with the ball bouncing over his head.
Now, let's be clear, the ball isn't moving very fast - the chasing Hartock has time to recover, control the ball - or even just hoof it clear - and make amends for what is already a school-boy error. What happens next, though, is unfathomable.

The Frenchman, no more than a foot away from the ball, tamely sticks out his right leg in a poor attempt to control the ball but instead prods it into the corner of his own net, much to the bemusement of his team mates.
Much to Hartock's relief, his clanger ultimately proved futile as Stade scored an 80th-minute winner to claim all three points, but is this the worst own goal ever scored by a goalkeeper?
Here are some contenders:
Joao Carlos vs. Avai (28/09/2014)
How's your luck, eh? An own goal that you can't help but sympathise with the keeper for, although what he was doing diving out for the ball in the first place is anyone's guess.
Mohammad Shatnawi vs. Al-Wehdat (20/04/2015)
Not just for the fact that Shatnawi practically bicycle kicks the ball into his own net, but also that Al-Wehdat's players all wheel off in celebration as if they've scored a wonder goal, is what makes this calamitous video all the more amusing.
Daniele Padelli vs. Empoli (06/05/2015)
Well, what can you say? A professional goalkeeper, playing in Italy's highest league, unable to play a simple first-time pass without finding the back of his own net. Speechless.
So take your pick, but let's face it, they're all terrible.
