WWE is in serious need of improving the talent that currently resides on its tag team roster. The wrestling company has always enjoyed great success in the tag team department, with wrestlers such as The Hardy Boyz being hugely popular amongst the WWE Universe for a short period.
Currently the WWE is in relative short supply when it comes to great tag team wrestlers. The Uso Brothers are arguably the most talented team that WWE currently have at their disposal, but Jey Uso is out injured at the moment.
The WWE tag team champions at the time of writing are The New Day, which is a professional wrestling stable consisting of Big E, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods.
Tag team improvements
But WWE knows it could benefit tremendously from delving into the independent wrestling circuit and plucking out one tag team partnership in particular. It has been rumored for months that The Young Bucks, Matt and Nick Jackson, in particular are on WWE's radar right now, and in an interview on Wednesday the wrestlers spoke about potentially signing with WWE.
After being asked by a reporter whether they would ever consider settling down and only signing with one company, the independent wrestlers explained that they would entertain an offer from WWE should one come their way.
"Of course, we’d love to entertain that idea. That’s the place to be. It would be fun to do it. Right now though I don’t know," explained Matt Jackson, according to NoDQ wrestling.
Even though Matt Jackson has thought about entertaining the idea, his brother Nick questions whether a move to the WWE would be the best fit for him because of family complications.
"I just couldn’t move my family to Florida at this point. If something changes, then maybe you’ll see us there [in WWE]. I own a home in California. Right now, mentally, I need to stay where I’m at."
