A potential main event for Summerslam that would bring the house down

Football News

With one of the biggest shows in the WWE calendar on the horizon, Summerslam, speculation is increasing as to what the main event of the show will be.

One potential match include Brock Lesnar v Seth Rollins, should Rollins still have the title till then.

dream match

But there is another idea has been mooted as a possibility, which would definitely satisfy the WWE Universe.

Since The Shield split up in the summer of 2014, there has been no triple-threat showdown between the three members: Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns.

Although Rollins has faced both individually, a three-way match has not yet happened, and it would be awesome to see these three go at it, in the main event of a major Pay-Per-View for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

Despite all three of them being involved in a Fatal 4 Way at Payback, the inclusion of Randy Orton takes something away from a Shield face-off. Not to mention that this is at Payback, a much more minor WWE event.

Triple threat

If this could be booked for Summerslam, it would no doubt be an excellent match.

With the erratic nature of Dean Ambrose, the calculating ring technique of Seth Rollins, and the sheer athleticism of Roman Reigns, the match is a recipe for a classic. This is what made The Shield such a formidable force in the WWE in the first place.

A simple triple threat match could be done, as gimmicks and stipulations will probably not be needed to make this match a special attraction, but that does not restrict the possibilities of what this match can produce.
