Chelsea could make a move for Aston Villa striker Christian Benteke this summer, according to the Mirror.
The report claims that Blues boss Jose Mourinho is ready to add to his front line in the upcoming window, with Liverpool target Benteke firmly in his sights.
The Aston Villa man, who has been in magnificent form under the guidance of Tim Sherwood, could leave Villa Park for around £30 million in the upcoming window, with it now seemingly possible that he could join the Premier League champions.
Mourinho, then, clearly wants to improve in the attacking department after an up-and-down campaign for his strikers. Main man Diego Costa has struggled on the injury scene, whilst Loic Remy has failed to feature on a regular basis.
Veteran Didier Drogba, meanwhile, is approaching the latter stages of his career, so it's not entirely surprising that Mourinho is looking to invest in attack.
And Benteke would no doubt improve the club's options up top, but he may yet decide to move to Anfield and become the main man under Reds boss Brendan Rodgers.
Pedro could join Chelsea
Barcelona star Pedro could complete a move to Chelsea for just £7 million in the upcoming transfer window.
This has been reported by the Telegraph, who claim that the Catalans have alerted a number of the Premier League's elite clubs - including Chelsea - over the player's availability.
Pedro is set to run out of contract at the Nou Camp in the summer of 2016, and would no doubt prove quite a coup for the Stamford Bridge outfit if they managed to secure his services in the near future.
Chelsea want Walcott or Oxlade-Chamberlain
Chelsea will consider selling Petr Cech to Arsenal if they get Theo Walcott or Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in return, accoridng to The Sun.
It appears, then, that Blues boss Jose Mourinho has an interest in the Gunners duo, but it remains to be seen as to whether Arsene Wenger would be ready to offer them to the Blues in an attempt to bring Cech to north London.
A Chelsea source, told The Sun: “Arsene Wenger wants a top keeper from us, Petr Cech. Well in exchange we want Walcott or Oxlade-Chamberlain.
“They may not be in the Arsenal team but we are convinced Jose Mourinho could make them into top players again.”
