John Cena has been the WWE superstar that fans have loved to hate for the past decade, but there is no denying that the fifteen time World Champion is the face of the company and one of the biggest pulls on the main roster.
Given these reasons, you could understand why WWE are considering John Cena vs The Undertaker for next year's WrestleMania. The Showcase of The Immortals is still eleven months away and will obviously see many rumoured changes and epic match ups over the next year before the final card is revealed.
WrestleMania in Texas means big things for Undertaker and current resident Sting and currently the WWE Universe are hopeful that Undertaker will bow out in his hometown with a match against The Icon that has bee 15 years in the making.
Is Cena Worthy?
Fans were also hoping that would happen this year, until Sting decided to take on Triple H and Bray Wyatt became a thorn in the side of The Deadman.
Last year's John Cena would have been no match for The Deadman and if the streak was still intact, he would be a questionable opponent for ending the streak and seeing him come over as a new generation. But at 37 years old himself, Cena is way past his prime and isn't seen as amongst the new generation of superstars anymore.
Since he won the United States Championship at WrestleMania and has defended it every week on Raw, Cena has looked to be in better shape in the ring than he ever was. He has added new moves to his arsenal and is taking on younger and more athletic superstars than himself on a weekly basis and managing to hold his own as well as putting on match of the year candidates, like the match he had with Neville last week.
A New Man?
Cena isn't known for this and is usually a "five moves of doom" guy who always "kicks out at two." But lately everything has changed, his character, his motivation and shockingly even this late in his career, Cena is improving.
The entire WWE Universe wants to see Undertaker verses Sting at WrestleMania, that much is obvious, but there is also a part of the report that mentions Cena verses Undertaker at Survivor Series this year instead. The very show that Undertaker debuted on 1990 and Sting made his debut on last year.
Survivor Series has become a big event for WWE and Undertaker v Cena at this year's event could see WWE then set up a rivalry between Undertaker and Sting leading up to what is speculated to be The Deadman's final match in his hometown.
