One of Jose Mourinho’s men could be leaving Stamford Bridge

Published Add your comment

Life in England hasn’t been particularly kind to Chelsea’s Filipe Luis since his switch from Atletico Madrid last summer. Unlike former teammates Thibaut Courtois and Diego Costa the Brazilian has had to settle for acting as a backup option for most of the season and as a consequence his future has been called into question. Now, Atletico star Tiago, also a former teammate of Luis’, has hinted that the ex-La Liga full-back could return to Spain this summer, insisting that he’d be welcomed with open arms. The most recent gossip has inferred that Jose Mourinho isn’t keen on selling him after just a year, but we’ll have to wait until the summer to know for sure. Meanwhile former Chelsea boss Claudio Ranieri has revealed he wanted to sign current Manchester United star Michael Carrick when he was in charge in west London, but instead ended up ultimately purchasing Frank Lampard. We hesitate to say it was the best decision he ever made, but let’s face it, it probably was.
