Liverpool defender Jose Enrique mocked Chelsea fans on Instagram yesterday after the Blues paraded the Premier League trophy and Capital One Cup round the streets of West London.
Enrique, who endured a torrid campaign at Anfield, rarely featured under the guidance of Brendan Rodgers this term after failing to stay injury free, however that hasn't stopped him taking a cheeky dig at fans of Chelsea.
Reposting a photo from txm_12, Enrique commented stating: 'The difference between Liverpool and Chelsea', with one half of the photo showing the Reds faithful after the club's Champions League final victory over AC Milan in 2005, while the bottom half of the photo was a picture taken at Chelsea's parade yesterday afternoon.
There's no doubt about it, Enrique's comical post may well have given some Liverpool fans a much needed boost after a weekend to forget.
Brendan Rodgers' side, of course, endured a torrid afternoon this past weekend as they were humiliated at the Britannia Stadium as they went down by six goals to one against Stoke City.
Chelsea, on the other hand, finished off their season in style as they secured a 3-1 victory over Sunderland on home soil.
Huge changes needed
And, one thing's for sure, whilst Chelsea have a balanced ship, big changes are needed at Liverpool sooner rather than later. Of course, many supporters are split over whether Brendan Rodgers should be the man to take the club forward, but they are certainly in need of investment after a poor campaign.
With Steven Gerrard departing the club, they must go about finding a suitable midfielder to step up next season, whilst it's clear for all to see that they are in desperate need of a new attack.
Mario Balotelli and Rickie Lambert, who arrived at the club this past summer, have struggled all season long, whilst England international Daniel Sturridge has failed to maintain his fitness throughout the course of the season.
If Liverpool don't sign the right players this summer, then they risk falling even further behind Jose Mourinho and Co. in west London.
