Arsenal are growing increasingly concerned that Chelsea are trying to convince Petr Cech to move to Paris Saint-Germain this summer in a bid to stop him joining a Premier League rival.
According to information today released by the Daily Mail, the Gunners are worried that they might miss out on arguably this summer’s top transfer target as a result of his club employing underhand tactics.
Wenger wants Cech
Arsene Wenger is a known admirer of Cech and it’s been repeatedly said in recent weeks that he’ll try and make the 32-year-old his new number one.

Neither Wojciech Szczesny or David Ospina has been overly convincing at the Emirates Stadium and with Arsenal now close to being capable of matching the best in the Premier League this summer could prove hugely significant in their hunt for another Premier League trophy.
That means that Wenger will want to solidify positions he is unsure of, with a new goalkeeper surely a necessity if a sustained title bid is to be launched. However, with Cech top of their list of targets it’s a real possibility that they could be left to scramble for other options if Chelsea get their way.

Despite reports earlier this season suggesting that Mourinho and Roman Abramovich would be happy to let Cech choose which club he wants to play for next, as a reward for his leal servitude, the powers that be at Stamford Bridge obviously don’t want him strengthening someone else’s charge for the Premier League next year if they can help it.
As a direct result behind the scenes Chelsea are doing their best to nudge their Czech goalkeeper in the direction of Ligue 1, where financial powerhouses PSG lie in wait.
PSG move possible
The Parc des Princes outfit have the money to match whatever Arsenal put on the table and then some, and their recently garnered reputation as genuine European challengers means that they aren’t likely to be refused based on their status.
That said Cech is thought to be keen to remain in England, and indeed London, as he doesn’t want to uproot his family if it can be avoided. That automatically puts Arsenal in the driving seat from the off, even if he’s offered no indication that he’d be willing to play for one of Chelsea’s bitter rivals.
