Italian coach trying to secure the services of a Blues midfielder

Published 1 Comments

Marco van Ginkel might not have had the most impressive of seasons on loan in Italy, but he could well get a second bite of the cherry, if FIlipo Inzaghi gets his way. The AC Milan coach has confirmed that he wants to keep the young Dutch midfielder at the San Siro for a second successive term, having been left content with his development. The 22-year-old is likely to be farmed out again by Jose Mourinho due to the sheer competition for places in the Chelsea first-team squad, and let’s be honest, there’s few teams better equipped to giving him regular game-time and top-level experience than Milan...That said it is Mourinho’s decision, so nothing can be taken for granted. In other transfer news the Blues’ planned pursuit of Atletico Madrid star Antoine Griezmann could be on the rocks, as the Spanish giants are aiming to block any potential move. Griezmann has a release clause of a whopping €65m but he is one of Atletico’s best players.
