Footage has emerged of the moment Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi met with manager Luis Enrique on the pitch during the team’s post-match celebrations last weekend.
Speculation is still rife that Messi and Enrique do not see eye-to-eye - midway through the season it looked as if the latter would even leave the Camp Nou after his high-profile fall-out with the club’s star player - but this latest video, published by Marca, suggests it’s all water under the bridge between the two men.
Messi smiled when Enrique walked up to him, they exchanged a quick pat on the back and went their separate ways soon after.

It was imperative that Enrique salvaged his relationship with Messi in order to stay in the job.
Back in January, for the first time since he made his professional debut in 2004, Messi’s future as a Barcelona player was in doubt due to his fractured relationship with the manager who replaced Tata Martino last summer.

Messi and Enrique fell out
Spanish newspaper Sport revealed that Messi and Enrique were not even speaking after the four-time Ballon d’Or winner was named as a substitute against David Moyes’ Real Sociedad - a match Barcelona lost 1-0.
A day later Messi pulled out of an open training session for Barcelona supporters. A bad stomach was the explanation given by the Argentina international, although the fact his illness suddenly came on a day after a reported row with his manager was certainly a coincidence.
Relationship now seems to be okay
In recent months, however, Messi has looked happy and content at Barcelona - and this has shown in his performances.
Enrique appears to have made a concerted effort to get Messi back onside, as demonstrated by some of the comments he has made about the world’s best player after key matches.
For example, following Barcelona’s emphatic 3-0 victory over Bayern Munich in the Champions League semi-final first leg, Enrique told reporters that Messi was “from another dimension”.
Barcelona can complete treble
By biting his tongue and accepting, to an extent, that Lionel Messi is the most important person at Barcelona, Enrique will not only keep himself in a job beyond this summer - he could even end the current campaign with an historic treble to his name.
Barcelona have already secured the league title and they can complete a domestic double by beating Athletic Bilbao in the Copa del Rey final this weekend.
After that it’s the big one: the Champions League final between Barcelona and Juventus on June 6.
If Barcelona win all three trophies, both Enrique and Messi will have played the biggest roles in the team’s remarkable success.
